Trent Small the Chef grew up in East Harlem, New York, where his passion for cooking was always rooted in his mind.

He was always around southern foods and longed to duplicate the magnificent, gorgeous cooking of his aunt and grandmother.

Although both of Trent’s influences in the kitchen have passed on, his memories of these home cooked meals, but more importantly, of his heritage, will continue to be carried on by the next generation through his recipes.

Trent Small the Chef, also known as Red Specs, is a passionate chef and host of the podcast and live stream show "Food for Thought with Red Specs and Alpha Moon." He has a strong passion for cooking and aims to bring joy to others through food. Trent is known for his engaging personality and his commitment to food safety and culinary creativity
